Raman Turhan is a Film Director, Screenwriter, and Actor. He is the founder and teacher of the DomasArt Film School and DomasArt Film Production. A Swiss citizen, he was born in Mesopotamia, near the Euphrates River, in a land recognized as the cradle of humanity and a crossroads of cultures, languages, and faiths, a guardian of millennia of memory and knowledge. The roots and cultures of this place blend with the artistic vein of the family from which Raman Turhan comes, rich in poets, musicians, and singer songwriters like his father.
As a child, he begins to write poems and stories, as if writing were a way to listen to the world, move through it, and give it meaning. Then theater and cinema become the place where that voice takes on a body and life.
He studies in important schools and academies as a director, screenwriter, and actor, and continues with advanced training courses guided by internationally renowned masters, going through years of study and research with the discipline of someone who does not seek shortcuts, but depth.
After a long journey in the magical world of cinema, he founded his own cultural association, writing and creating projects for cinema, television, and theater. Thus DomasArt Film Production was born, an artistic and ethical choice at the same time: to create independent films capable of igniting consciences and opening a space of awareness. His stories look directly at the knots of our time, poverty, injustice, hunger, abuse, and everything that wounds human dignity. But his gaze does not stop at the facts, it also includes the mental and spiritual dimension of peoples and individuals, because every visible wound often contains an invisible one. His goal is to bring these hardships to light and transform them into an artistic and original language, where pain does not become spectacle, but a way to ignite that humanity present within us.
Years later, from that same vision, the DomasArt Film School was born, an international school structured into six sections: Acting, Writing, Directing, The Art of Communication, Film Culture, and Yogic Arts. Six paths that converge in a single direction: authenticity.
In an era that asks artists to be increasingly competitive, qualified, and prepared, the school responds with what is often missing: the search for depth in order to find artistic sincerity. For Raman, technique is necessary and important, but it is not sufficient, and this is why the DomasArt Film School, as its aim, has the priority of focusing on the artistic side and on the creative process of all its courses.
Raman Turhan offers advanced training courses within his Film School and as a teacher in other schools. He is not only a master, but also a director, screenwriter, actor, and researcher with many years of direct experience in the field. This union of roles allows him to guide the student through cinematic creation in a complete and concrete way, embracing every phase of the work. An actor lives the truth of the body, a screenwriter builds the truth of meaning, a director unites truths into a vision. Knowing all these perspectives means learning to truly see.
His teaching does not seek imitations, it does not produce copies. Raman accompanies each student to discover their own gaze, to recognize their own talent, to transform insecurity into research and research into language. And since he continues to work actively in the field, he brings to students the value of reality: practical advice that comes from the set, from experience, from mistakes faced and solutions found. His guidance is rigorous and human, demanding and deeply respectful. Because art, for him, is not an ornament, it is a path. And every path requires great passion and dedication.
Finding a Film School and a master capable of guiding you with very broad and very deep teaching is fundamental.
In his free time, Raman regularly carries out research and in depth studies in all the areas he teaches, like someone who knows that an artist never arrives, he continues to become.
